RISE Is a great example of community development and efforts to build a resilient, trusted and accessible network of learning opportunity for rural Alberta. Bow Valley College would be pleased to continue utilizing the RISE Network to support and align with needs of rural learners, increase access to post-secondary opportunities and strengthen cross-generational learning through technology

Your Social Media Plan: Making the Most of Your Library’s Online Social Spaces (for Library Staff)

Tuesday, March 27, 2018 - 2:00pm - 3:00pm

*session for Library Staff only

Most of us are familiar with Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest, and Instagram. Some of us already use these tools for our libraries. But are we using them effectively? Let me show you how to create a social media plan and set goals so you can get the most out of social media and effectively market your library, programs, and services. You will learn why a social media presence is essential for your library’s advocacy and marketing, tips on creating the best posts for each platform, and how to create your own customized social media plan.

Presented by Caleigh Haworth
Training & Communications Coordinator, Marigold Library System

Caleigh provides training to member library staff in the use of eResources and other technologies. She also develops and delivers library programs, creates online content for Marigold websites and social media, and develops communications and marketing materials to promote library services.
