The RISE Network works with public libraries to provide Albertans with opportunities to communicate with health care professionals, participate in distance education, attend meetings, learn new skills and more – all by videoconference from their local library.

June Flanagan is a professional botanist, environmental horticulturist and author, as well as the designer of the award-winning Garden of Native Prairie Plants at the Galt Museum & Archives. This program “Planting Our Past, Preserving Our Future” highlights the story behind this garden of truly local species, which was planted by the Society to commemorate its 2009 centennial.
