The RISE Network works with public libraries to provide Albertans with opportunities to communicate with health care professionals, participate in distance education, attend meetings, learn new skills and more – all by videoconference from their local library.

The Taber Public Library is proud to present Coyote Junction for our annual Christmas Concert. Together, Alyssa McQuaid and Coyote Junction create an ensemble of talented musicians supplemented with excellent harmonies. In this 5 piece band, their passion, talent and drive collide to form something truly memorable and special. Join these teachers/musicians with us here in Taber for a “country” take on Christmas.

Join the Taber Public Library for their annual Christmas Concert! This year the concert will feature Simply Harp, including Karin Barg, Mark Rodgers, and Peggy Mezei of the Lethbridge Symphony. The theme for the evening will be Winter Gardening, with beloved classics, carols, and more!

The target audience for this event is families and adults.

Pioneer Christmas with Charles Ingalls

Join Charles Ingalls live from The Sheffield Museum of Rural Life in Ontario, to learn about pioneer Christmas traditions!

Charles will discuss Christmas in pioneer times in comparison to modern times, and he will tell an exciting story from his own life. He will also use his fiddle to lead the students in singing some Christmas songs and will teach them some pioneer dancing with live music.

Patrons will: 

  • meet a character from the past
  • hear an exciting story
  • participate in a traditional dance

Taber Public Library is pleased to have IAM perform at this year’s Christmas Concert. IAM is made up of three ensembles, the IAM Chamber Choir, the IAM Wednesday Winds and the IAM Chinook Orchestra, all of whom are members of the Allied Arts Council in Lethbridge. Join us Thursday, December 5th from 7:00 to 8:30 pm for a wonderful evening of music.
