The RISE Network works with public libraries to provide Albertans with opportunities to communicate with health care professionals, participate in distance education, attend meetings, learn new skills and more – all by videoconference from their local library.

Train Robbers of the Old West

With great expansion and settlement of the West also came something a little more undesirable; the Outlaws. As soon as the tracks were laid bad guys began turning their attention from robbing banks to the railroads crossing vast open country carrying money, goods and passengers, with only the train’s crew as defense.

Learn basic health and safety tips from two intergalactic characters from the planet Relatively Fit — Captain Healthy & Safety Dog! Through this live, interactive performance students will engage with puppeteers as they learn about hygiene, sun protection, nutrition and healthy eating habits (MyFoodPlate), active play & safety outdoors, and general household safety tips! Sound effects and original music get students up on their feet and moving during the program. Don’t miss this out of world experience!
