The RISE Network works with public libraries to provide Albertans with opportunities to communicate with health care professionals, participate in distance education, attend meetings, learn new skills and more – all by videoconference from their local library.

The Nature of our Holiday Traditions

Holiday plants all have special stories to tell – the spices and herbs we cook with and the plants we decorate with.  We’ll explore these stories and their history while creating our own pomander remembering that you are carrying on ancient traditions from all over the world.  And don’t forget about the wish for the bees!

Join the Cleveland Museum of Art for the special holiday program Season of Light. This program explores the origins and rituals connected with Christmas, Hanukkah, and Diwali. These celebrations and commemorations fall late in the yer and often make use of light.

Join the Cleveland Museum of Art for the special holiday program Season of Light. This program explores the origins and rituals connected with Christmas, Hanukkah, and Diwali. In this program, patrons will view and discuss illuminated manuscripts, Indian sculptures, and other votive objects from the Cleveland Museum of Art, as well as menorahs from the collection of Temple Tiffereth Israel.

Did you love last year's presentation of "The Mitten"?  If you did, you're going to love seeing the Indianapolis Zoo present Karma Wilson's "Bear Snores On."  Young readers will delight in watching Bear’s BIG reaction to his surprise guests during his long winter’s nap.
